Janet Ramirez
Sunday Night Joy Co-Host
In November 2022, Janet marked 37 years hosting Sunday Night Joy, KYCC's gospel music program. In 1985, the KYCC General Manager, Darryl Seibold, Janet’s brother, asked she and her husband to put together a GOSPEL show! She is a member of the GOSPEL MUSIC WORKSHOP OF AMERICA, which has been influential in the music and ministry of the artists played each Sunday.
Janet was born in Turlock, Ca and raised in Stockton. As a teenager, she met her husband Joe at First Pentecostal Church and they married in 1974. They have four children, Stephanie, Joey Jr., Christina, and Nicholas. Joe and Janet attend CLC and devote much of their free time to their children, their 18 grandchildren as well as their 3 great-grandchildren.
Janet’s favorite song is “All the Angels” by the Hawkins Seminar Mass Choir and her favorite artist is Lady Tramaine Hawkins. She and Joe share a love for Mexican food, and they thoroughly enjoy the experience of hosting Sunday Night Joy. They have interviewed three gospel legends, Andrae’ Crouch and Edwin & Walter Hawkins.
